Several times a year, firefighters
conduct water shuttle training. A water shuttle consists of hauling water from
a water source to an area that does not have a sufficient water source for fighting a fire.
This training assists firefighters in establishing the most time efficient way to deliver and supply water to a critical
scene.
Below
are pictures taken at the Water Shuttle Training in April of 2003. The water source for the shuttle was the boat launch for
Bundicks Lake at Hopewell Crossing. The second site used for the training was the lot next to Kipling Korner Grocery
on Hwy 1147.
